Security Officer Flex Variable Shift Patrol

Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Professional Branch Flex Officer to serve and safeguard clients across a wide range of industries, including healthcare, education, finance, retail, and more. Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized removal of property complies with client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.

Qualifications

• Must be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends.
• Reliable transportation and ability to travel required distances for assignments.
• Availability for last‑minute shift scheduling.
• Customer service experience preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation and drug screening as required by law.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions.
• Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic) is a plus.
• Prior security, military, or law‑enforcement experience is a plus.

Pay

Pay Rate: $15.59 per hour.

Schedule

Work 30–40 hours per week. Shifts, days, locations, and assignments change regularly based on manager‑assigned shifts and the Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift self‑scheduling program. Expect irregular shifts with little to no advance notice.
