About the role

As a Security Professional Branch Flex Officer, you will serve and safeguard clients across a wide range of industries, including healthcare, education, finance, retail, and more. This role offers hands-on experience, diverse work environments, and the opportunity to build a strong foundation with a leader in the security industry. You will work 30–40 hours per week with a varying schedule, including manager-assigned shifts and self-selected shifts through our Earn More, Claim-A-Shift self-scheduling program. Shifts, days, locations, and assignments will change regularly, requiring adaptability and dependability.

You will be assigned to work irregular shifts with little to no advance notice to support client needs. This position is based in Ontario, CA, and involves driving as part of your duties.

Responsibilities

  • Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
  • Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
  • Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
  • Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
  • Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits
  • Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized removal of property complies with client requirements
  • Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post
  • Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
  • Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders

Requirements

  • Be available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends, in a Branch Flex role
  • Possess at least one year of security-related experience
  • Possess supervisory experience
  • Have reliable transportation for Branch Flex assignments
  • Hold a valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
  • Be available for last-minute shift scheduling in a Branch Flex role
  • Be willing to travel required distances for Branch Flex assignments
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
  • Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
  • Meet licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations, which may be required prior to employment

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic)
  • Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience

Pay

$19.52 per hour

Schedule

30–40 hours per week, with varying shifts including holidays, nights, and weekends. Shifts are assigned with little to no advance notice and may change regularly.
