About the Role

The Security Professional Branch Flex Officer will serve and safeguard clients across a wide range of industries, including healthcare, education, finance, retail, and more. This position is based in Corpus Christi, TX, and offers hands‑on experience, diverse work environments, and a pathway to long‑term career advancement with Allied Universal®, North America’s leading security and facility services company.

Schedule

You will work 30–40 hours per week. Shifts, days, locations, and assignments change regularly and are assigned by a manager‑assigned shift system combined with the Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift self‑scheduling program. Expect irregular shifts with little to no advance notice to support client needs.

Pay

$12.86 per hour

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in a vehicle.
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards.
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons.
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles.
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits.
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized removal of property complies with client requirements.
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post.
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner.
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply based on state or local regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Preferred Attributes

• Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic).
• Prior security, military, or law‑enforcement experience.
