About the role

As a Flex Access Control and Patrol Security Officer in Hazelton, PA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys engaging with the public and using technology to support daily tasks. You’ll play a vital role in maintaining a welcoming atmosphere for employees and visitors by providing top-notch customer service and clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and staff by carrying out security-related procedures and site-specific policies at your assigned site/s.
• Monitor access points to help deter unauthorized entry and maintain a secure environment within the site premises.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following Allied Universal guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around the site and its perimeter to help deter suspicious activity and identify potential issues.
• Assist with emergency response activities as needed, in accordance with site procedures and Allied Universal protocols.
• Observe and report any security-related incidents, hazards, or unusual activity to the appropriate personnel.
• Maintain a visible presence throughout the location to help deter theft, vandalism, and/or other unwanted behavior.

Requirements

• Be 18 years of age or older.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Comfortable using computer or tablet.
• Access control / Access badge experience.
• Alarm panel experience.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$18.52 / hour

Schedule

Flex* - Part Time. Must be available to work all shifts and all days of the week. Required to cover for special projects, call offs, vacations, and open shifts.
