As a Security Officer - Flex Overnight in Reno, NV, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.
Pay
$25.00 / Hour
Schedule
- Fixed overnight shift: 06:00 PM - 06:00 AM (Monday)
- Six (6) month commitment to assigned shift
- Option to pick up extra shifts via Claim-A-Shift program for up to 40 hours per week
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Perform armed patrols of municipal buildings, public areas, parking facilities, and perimeters to help identify and address suspicious activity, unauthorized access, and potential hazards.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, coordinating with law enforcement and/or emergency personnel as needed.
- Monitor access points, conduct welfare checks, and provide a visible presence to help deter prohibited activity at government locations.
- Document patrol activity, incidents, and observations through clear, accurate reports while maintaining assigned equipment and firearms in accordance with Allied Universal policies and applicable laws.
Requirements
- At least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience.
- Possess an armed guard card and/or license.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- At least 21 years of age for armed roles.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
