About the role

The Security Professional Branch Flex Officer will serve and safeguard clients across a wide range of industries, including healthcare, education, finance, retail, and more. This role offers hands-on experience, diverse work environments, and the opportunity to build a strong foundation with a leader in the security industry. As a Security Officer Flex Driver Holiday Patrol in East Hartford, CT, you’ll expand your skillset, gain exposure to a variety of sites, and position yourself for advancement within the company.

Responsibilities

• Perform security patrols of designated areas on foot or in vehicle
• Watch for irregular or unusual conditions that may create security concerns or safety hazards
• Sound alarms or call police or fire department in case of fire or presence of unauthorized persons
• Warn violators of rule infractions, such as loitering, smoking, or carrying forbidden articles
• Permit authorized persons to enter property and monitor entrances and exits
• Observe departing personnel to protect against theft of company property and ensure authorized removal of property is conducted within client requirements
• Investigate and prepare reports on accidents, incidents, and suspicious activities; maintain written logs as required by the post
• Aid customers, employees, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
• Make emergency notifications as necessary pursuant to site Post Orders

Requirements

• At least 2 years of security-related experience
• Available to work varying shifts, including holidays, nights, and weekends
• Reliable transportation
• Valid driver’s license in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements
• Available for last-minute shift scheduling
• Able to travel varying distances
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions

Preferred Qualifications

• Ability to speak, read, and write in multiple languages (e.g., Spanish, Portuguese, French, Arabic)
• Prior security, military, or law enforcement experience

Schedule

• Work 30–40 hours per week, offering steady income and opportunities for growth
• Schedule varies week to week, based on manager-assigned shifts and self-scheduling through the Earn More, Claim-A-Shift program
• Shifts, days, locations, and assignments change regularly
• Irregular shifts with little to no advance notice to support client needs

Pay

$19.69 / hour
