About the role

This Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position is a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career. As a Security Officer in King Of Prussia, PA, you’ll have a fixed base schedule with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: Pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours one week and full-time the next—it’s up to you. This role allows you to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout buildings, controlled areas, parking areas, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity or unusual behavior.
• Monitor access points and verify entry authorization as directed by site policies, supporting visitor processing, badge checks, and restricted area compliance.
• Report maintenance concerns, suspicious activity, and policy violations observed during patrols, and assist with follow-up actions in accordance with post orders and location procedures.

Requirements

• An active DoD Secret Clearance is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
