Security Officer - First Shift
About the role
Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a busy retail location, where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a welcoming experience through strong customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to customers, visitors, and store associates while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or appropriate emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with management and/or first responders as needed.
- Carry out regular and random patrols throughout the store, entrances, exits, parking areas, and perimeter to help deter unwanted activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Maintain high-traffic retail areas for policy compliance, assist with access and crowd flow concerns, and report suspicious behavior, hazards, and/or operational issues to the appropriate contacts.
Requirements
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
Qualifications
As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
