Security Officer Field Patrol
About the role
Join Allied Universal as an unarmed patrol officer in a dynamic retail location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and remain visible to help deter security-related incidents.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, tenants, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, location-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities in a retail location.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, documenting relevant details and communicating with site contacts and/or local authorities as needed.
- Congduct regular and random patrols throughout common areas, storefront corridors, entrances, exits, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unwanted activity and report unusual conditions.
- Monitor access points, observe foot traffic, and support crowd management during busy shopping periods, special events, and/or closing procedures.
- Assist with handling customer concerns, lost and found matters, and other service-related issues while maintaining awareness of security-related risks and reporting concerns promptly.
Requirements
- The ability to lift up to 20 lbs is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- The ability to use a computer or tablet comfortably is preferred.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
