Security Officer Facility Patrol

About the role

As a Security Officer Facility Patrol in Council Bluffs, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. Join Allied Universal at a dynamic tech and telecom location where you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, remain visible to help deter security-related incidents, and deliver outstanding customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or staff by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and communicating relevant details to supervisors and/or local authorities when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including building interiors, exterior grounds, parking areas, and perimeter access points, helping to identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, helping to support authorized entry procedures for a technology-focused location with sensitive equipment and/or restricted areas.
• Observe and report conditions that may impact daily operations, including maintenance issues, unsecured doors, and/or policy violations, while following post orders and Allied Universal guidelines.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licenses are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• Prefer candidates with experience in security or facility services.
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Skills

• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to remain calm under pressure.
• Attention to detail.
• Knowledge of security protocols and emergency response procedures.
