Job Description As a Security Officer Full Time Unarmed Site Patrol in Newport News, VA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol a manufacturing and industrial location, maintaining a visible presence that helps deter security-related incidents. You will conduct routine patrols, support access control activities, communicate professionally with employees and visitors, and report security-related concerns. Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing areas, fabrication workspaces, parking areas, access points, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to the location by verifying credentials, observing visitor and contractor activity, and following established entry and exit procedures.
• Prepare clear, accurate reports of incidents, patrols, unusual conditions, and security-related activities while following site requirements for protective equipment.

Requirements

• Have at least 1 year of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
