Security Officer Entry Level Part Time Afternoons

About the role

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Patrol Alarm Panel in Ashland, VA, to serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom. As a Part-Time Security Officer, you can build a schedule that works for you and explore new roles using the Claim a Shift platform.

What You'll Do

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and/or contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a technology-focused corporate location
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, offices, parking areas, access points, and perimeter areas to help identify and report unusual conditions, maintenance concerns, and potential policy violations
• Monitor access activity and visitor entry procedures, verify credentials as directed, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, communicating with site contacts, emergency responders, and Allied Universal leadership as needed
• Help to deter unauthorized activity through a visible presence, professional interactions, and timely reporting of security-related concerns

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent
• Customer service experience is preferred
• CPR certification is preferred
• A guard card or license is preferred
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred
• Alarm panel experience is preferred
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only

Pay & Schedule

Pay Rate: $21.00 / Hour

Schedule: Wednesday 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM, Thursday 04:00 PM - 12:00 AM
