Security Officer Entry Authorization

About the role

As an Access Control Officer at a food and beverage location, you will help maintain a secure environment by monitoring entry points, verifying access credentials, and communicating professionally with employees, visitors, and vendors. You will support security-related operations through attentive observation, clear reporting, and exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Control access to the facility by verifying identification, reviewing visitor and contractor authorization, issuing credentials, and maintaining accurate access records.
• Monitor entry and exit points, delivery traffic, and restricted areas; report unauthorized access attempts, unusual activity, and facility concerns according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter, with working environments and conditions varying by location.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay Rate: $16.64 / Hour
