Security Officer Entry Authorization

About the role

As a Security Officer Entry Authorization in McAllen, TX, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry points, verify credentials, monitor access activity, and provide outstanding customer service to employees and visitors. Your visible presence and clear communication will help deter incidents while supporting a welcoming environment.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors at a manufacturing and industrial location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials for authorized personnel, visitors, deliveries, and contractors in accordance with site access-control requirements.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and access records; issue and collect credentials as directed by site procedures.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, business areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay & schedule

Full Time position with a pay rate of $11.66 / Hour. Schedule: Thursday through Sunday, 03:00 PM – 11:00 PM.
