Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol Risk Assessment

About the Role

This part-time unarmed patrol security officer position is based in Chantilly, VA, at a technology-focused location. It offers a fixed weekly shift commitment with the flexibility to pick up additional shifts through a scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and work up to 40 hours per week when desired.

Schedule

• Anchor Shifts: Saturday and Sunday, 4:00 PM – 12:00 AM
• Commitment: Six (6) month commitment to designated site and weekly shift
• Flexibility: Claim extra shifts through the scheduling platform to earn more and gain experience across multiple sites

Pay Rate

• $21.00 / Hour

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of interior and exterior areas, including business spaces, entry points, parking areas, and the perimeter, to identify and report unusual conditions
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site policy, and report unauthorized access attempts or suspicious activity
• Complete accurate activity logs, incident reports, and shift handoff communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience
• At least 18 years of age (unarmed role)
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Subject to background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws
• Subject to drug screen to the extent permitted by law
• Licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations; may be required prior to employment
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only (not specified as required for this role)
