Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Unarmed Patrol

About the Role

Allied Universal® offers a flexible, part-time Enhanced Security Officer position designed for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career. This role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts. The position requires a six-month commitment to a designated site and weekly shift, with opportunities to increase hours up to 40 per week through our Claim-A-Shift program.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, medical emergencies, and other critical situations in a calm, professional, and problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and following established protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of healthcare facility buildings, entrances, parking areas, and surrounding grounds to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, assist with directions and escorts as assigned, and report unusual conditions or incidents to site leadership.
• Complete accurate reports, activity logs, and incident documentation in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Able to lift more than 20 pounds (preferred).
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$22.58 per hour.

Schedule

Fixed anchor shift: Thursday, 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM, with the flexibility to pick up additional shifts as desired.
