Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel at a healthcare location by carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Monitor and control access to designated areas by verifying credentials, authorizations, visitor registrations, and delivery documentation in accordance with site procedures.
- Maintain accurate access-control records, including visitor logs, badge issuance and return documentation, and incident-related reports.
- Respond to unauthorized-access attempts, access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of entry points, restricted areas, and the business perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements
- A Guard Card/License is preferred.
- CPR Certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
