As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening Officer in Columbus, OH, you’ll have a fixed base schedule with the option to increase earnings through our Claim-A-Shift program. This role is ideal for those seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, employees, and contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and access-screening protocols.
• Screen individuals entering the location, verify identification and/or visitor credentials, and direct guests according to established site procedures.
• Monitor entry points and report suspicious activity, prohibited items, or access concerns to the appropriate site contacts.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner and follow established emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random checks of assigned entrances, lobby areas, and nearby perimeter locations as directed.

Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$19.75 per hour.

Schedule

Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): A designated site and weekly shift serving as your reliable base schedule, requiring a six (6) month commitment.

Claim-A-Shift Program: Pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Flexibility to work part-time one week and full-time the next, with the option to scale back as needed.

Example Shift: Daytime, Saturday, 05:00 AM - 01:00 PM.
