Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screener

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and employees by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control requirements, and emergency response activities.
• Screen employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel entering the facility; verify identification, credentials, and authorization in accordance with site policies.
• Monitor entry and exit points, vehicle traffic, and shipping/receiving areas to help deter unauthorized access and support orderly operations.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate personnel according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, perimeter, parking areas, and loading dock areas; report security-related concerns, damaged property, and unusual activity.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Must pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
