Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Perimeter Patrol

About the Role

Allied Universal® offers a flexible, part-time enhanced security officer position designed for individuals seeking supplemental income, hands-on experience, or a pathway to a full-time career. This role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site in Saint Joseph, MO, with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift (anchor shift) with a six-month commitment. Through our Claim-A-Shift program, you can pick up extra shifts to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites, allowing you to scale your hours as needed—from part-time to full-time (up to 40 hours per week).

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at a food and beverage production location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout production-adjacent areas, employee entrances, parking areas, and the property perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Document observations, incidents, and patrol activity accurately and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws (Allied Universal considers qualified applications with criminal histories consistent with applicable laws).
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations (may be required prior to employment).
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

Pay

$17.35 per hour.

Schedule

Anchor Shift: Daytime, Saturday, 03:00 PM - 07:00 PM (fixed six-month commitment).

Additional shifts available through the Claim-A-Shift program, allowing flexibility to scale hours up to 40 per week.
