About the role
This Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position is a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career. As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Observation in Atlanta, GA, you’ll have a fixed base schedule with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with income stability and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities in a luxury retail environment.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, sales floor, entrances, stock areas, and surrounding perimeter to identify unusual activity and deter theft-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and support the orderly movement of customers, employees, contractors, and deliveries in accordance with site procedures.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating relevant information to site leadership and emergency responders when needed.
- Document patrols, incidents, observations, and policy-related concerns accurately and professionally in accordance with Allied Universal and site requirements.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess at least 5 years of security-related experience.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
Pay
$18.54 / hour
Schedule
- Daytime, Friday: 10:00 AM - 07:00 PM
This role includes a fixed-shift commitment (“Anchor Shifts”) requiring a six (6) month commitment at a designated site and weekly shift. You may also pick up extra shifts through our Claim-A-Shift program to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites.
