Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Inspection

About the Role

Allied Universal® is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced for a flexible, dependable position in Weslaco, TX. The role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the option to pick up additional shifts for increased earnings and experience.

This part‑time position offers a six‑month commitment to a designated “anchor shift” and the ability to work varying hours week‑to‑week, with the potential to scale up to a full‑time schedule of up to 40 hours.

Pay

Pay Rate: $12.00 per hour

Schedule

Daytime Saturday: 06:00 AM – 02:00 PM (fixed‑shift commitment). Additional shifts may be claimed through the scheduling platform.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel while following security procedures, site policies, and emergency response activities.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of manufacturing and industrial work areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, access points, and perimeter locations to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access by verifying credentials, observing visitor and contractor activity, and documenting entries, exits, and deliveries per site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly; notify appropriate personnel and prepare accurate incident reports as required.
• Maintain awareness of manufacturing operations and changing site conditions, reporting hazards, suspicious activity, damaged property, and policy violations to site leadership and Allied Universal supervision.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles (21+ for armed roles).
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet any licensing requirements required by state or local regulations.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
