As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Patrol Driver Tablet Operations in Columbus, OH, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay

$21.79 / hour

Schedule

  • Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
  • Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours one week and full-time the next—up to 40 hours per week—with the option to scale back when needed.
  • Example shift: Wednesday 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, vendors, and/or contractors at a technology data center by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of data center buildings, access points, perimeter areas, parking locations, and other assigned areas to help identify and report unusual conditions or unauthorized activity.
  • Monitor access control points and visitor activity, verify credentials as directed by site procedures, and document entries, exits, and/or incidents accurately.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as directed.
  • Complete detailed activity logs, patrol reports, and incident documentation while maintaining a professional presence in a high-availability technology environment.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
