About the role
This is a part-time Security Officer Enhanced position in Chicago, IL. You will be hired for a designated site and weekly "anchor shift" that serves as your reliable base schedule with a six-month commitment. In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick up extra shifts through the company's scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back when needed.
Schedule
Daytime, Sunday 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM (fixed anchor shift)
Pay
$23.00 per hour
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and vendors at a financial institution by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established reporting protocols.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, exterior grounds, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
- Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and communicate access-related issues to appropriate site contacts.
- Document patrols, incidents, observations, and daily activities accurately and promptly in accordance with site procedures.
Requirements
- Possess at least one year of security-related experience.
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
