As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Gate Operations in Charlotte, NC, this role is designed to provide reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility for you to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, drivers, visitors, and vendors by carrying out site-specific access control procedures, policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and delivery appointments, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct authorized personnel to designated areas.
• Control access to shipping, receiving, warehouse, trailer yard, and other restricted areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and notify appropriate site contacts and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned access points, business areas, perimeter locations, and parking or trailer areas to help identify unusual activity and support security-related operations.

Requirements

• At this site, there are limited on-site facilities such as portable toilets and rustic guard shacks.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

$16.00 per hour

Schedule

Saturday, 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM (fixed shift)
