Security Officer Enhanced Part Time EMT Certified Driver

As a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced EMT Certified Driver in Reading, PA, you’ll have a fixed base schedule with the option to pick up additional shifts for increased earnings and experience.

This role requires a six-month commitment to a designated site and weekly shift. Through our Claim-A-Shift program, you can pick up extra shifts, allowing you to work part-time one week and full-time the next—up to 40 hours per week—with the flexibility to scale back as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities within a manufacturing and industrial location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and problem-solve following established site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of production areas, access points, offices, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access control points, verify authorized entry, and maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle records.
• Report security-related incidents, hazards, equipment concerns, and policy violations, completing required documentation in a timely manner.

Requirements

• EMT certification is required.
• Valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
