This part-time enhanced Security Officer position in Scranton, PA offers a fixed base schedule with the flexibility to pick up additional shifts. The role is designed for individuals seeking part-time employment with income stability and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week.
How This Role Works
- Fixed-Shift Commitment ("Anchor Shifts"): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
- Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours one week and full-time the next—it's all up to you.
Pay
$18.00 / Hour
Schedule
- Wednesday: 05:00 PM - 11:30 PM
- Thursday: 05:00 PM - 11:30 PM
- Friday: 02:00 PM - 11:00 PM
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients, customers, and store associates by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns according to site procedures.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales floors, entrances, parking areas, loading areas, and perimeter locations.
- Monitor customer and associate activity for unusual conditions, policy concerns, and potential loss-prevention issues, reporting observations to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain accurate activity logs and incident reports while communicating professionally with store management, customers, and responding public-service personnel.
Requirements
- A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
