About the role

This Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position is a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career. As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Computer Driver in Wichita, KS, you’ll have a fixed base schedule with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift, requiring a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: Pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Scale your hours up to 40 per week or back as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site protocols and reporting requirements.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, access points, parking areas, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor access to restricted areas, verify visitor and contractor authorization, and maintain accurate logs and incident documentation.
• Observe and report unusual conditions, damaged property, and potential hazards to appropriate site personnel and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
