Responsibilities
- Provide customer service by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a healthcare location.
- Monitor entrances, exits, and restricted areas to help manage authorized access for employees, visitors, patients, and vendors in accordance with location protocols.
- Verify identification, credentials, and/or visitor information, issue access badges as directed, and maintain accurate access logs and related documentation.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with staff, visitors, and first responders as needed.
- Conduct regular and random patrols around entry points, lobbies, parking areas, and the perimeter to help identify unusual activity and support security-related operations.
Minimum Requirements
- Possess 2 or more years of security-related experience.
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Be comfortable using a computer or tablet preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
