Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and law enforcement personnel while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
- Monitor entry and exit points, verify identification and authorization, maintain visitor records, and direct individuals according to established procedures.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and document activities as required.
- Monitor cameras, alarm systems, and other access-control equipment; report unusual activity, malfunctions, and potential security-related concerns.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized access and identify security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements
- A Guard Card/License is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
