How This Role Works
Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and delivery personnel by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
- Monitor access control points by verifying credentials, reviewing visitor and contractor access, and documenting entries, exits, and/or deliveries in accordance with site protocols.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, escalating concerns to site contacts and/or Allied Universal leadership as appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of entrances, loading areas, dock doors, parking areas, and the perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
- Communicate with drivers, warehouse personnel, and management regarding access issues, restricted areas, and/or operational concerns while maintaining accurate activity and incident reports.
Minimum Requirements
- Customer service experience is preferred.
- Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
