Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at government facilities.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, coordinating with appropriate personnel and public agencies as needed.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of government buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity and identify potential security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorization for entry, following site procedures for visitors, deliveries, contractors, and restricted areas.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required documentation for incidents, patrol activities, unusual conditions, and other security-related matters.

Minimum Requirements

• At least 1 year of security-related experience is required.
• At least 1 year of armed security-related, law enforcement, and/or military experience is required.
• An armed guard card or license is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
