This Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position is a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader. As an Armed Mobile Patrol Driver in Jacksonville, FL, this role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to passengers, visitors, employees, and other stakeholders by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities at transportation facilities and surrounding property.
• Respond to incidents, service disruptions, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate personnel and public agencies as directed by site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of transit stations, terminals, parking areas, administrative facilities, vehicle access points, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points, check credentials as required, and assist with controlling entry to restricted areas in accordance with site-specific policies and applicable regulations.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain clear communication with supervisors, transportation personnel, and emergency responders regarding incidents, observations, and security-related activities.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• An Armed Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Schedule

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites.

Example Shift: Friday 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM

Pay

$19.57 per hour
