This Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position is a flexible, dependable option for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career with the industry leader. As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Alarm Panel Patrol Driver in Gibbstown, NJ, this role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.
- Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
- Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours one week and full-time the next—it’s all up to you.
This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, always with the option to scale back when needed.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a chemical/petrochemical location by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control practices, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
- Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of facility buildings, process areas, parking areas, access points, and perimeter boundaries to help identify unusual activity, hazards, or unauthorized access.
- Monitor entry and exit activity, verify credentials and/or visitor authorization, maintain required logs, and communicate access concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
- Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
- Prepare clear, accurate activity and incident reports and communicate observations, equipment concerns, and security-related issues to appropriate personnel.
Requirements
- Be at least 21 years of age.
- Valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
- State, county, or city-issued security-related license is preferred.
- Access control and badge experience is preferred.
- Alarm panel experience is preferred.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
