As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Verification in Ontario, CA, this role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and delivery personnel while carrying out site-specific access-control procedures and security-related policies at a retail distribution location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor logs, and direct authorized personnel to appropriate areas.
• Respond to access-control alarms, incidents, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including the facility perimeter, parking areas, and access points, to help identify unusual activity and deter unauthorized entry.
• Document daily activities, access-control exceptions, and incidents accurately, and communicate relevant information to site leadership and Allied Universal management.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment to a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. You may also pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites.
