As a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Governance in Jacksonville, FL, this role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking-up additional shifts when it works for you.

This role requires a six (6) month commitment to a designated site and weekly shift as your reliable base schedule. You may also pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. This role is ideal for candidates seeking part-time employment with flexibility, income stability, and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week, with the option to scale back when needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and contractors at a transportation facility by carrying out access-control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and manage entry and exit points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor logs, and direct authorized individuals to appropriate locations.
• Control vehicle and pedestrian access to restricted areas, inspect identification as required, and report unauthorized access attempts or policy violations.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate site contacts and emergency services when needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, facility grounds, and perimeter areas to help deter unauthorized activity; working environments and conditions may vary by location.

Requirements

• Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Meet licensing requirements subject to state and/or local laws and regulations, which may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Pay

$15.97 / hour

Schedule

• Fixed-shift commitment (“Anchor Shifts”) with a designated weekly schedule.
• Daytime shift on Wednesdays: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM.
• Flexibility to pick up additional shifts through the Claim-A-Shift program, allowing you to work part-time or full-time (up to 40 hours per week) as needed.
