Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Access Controller

Allied Universal® offers a flexible, part-time Enhanced Security Officer position designed for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career. This role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts. The position is ideal for those seeking part-time employment with income stability and opportunities to build up to a full-time schedule of up to 40 hours per week.

Pay

$18.75 per hour

Schedule

• Monday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Tuesday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM
• Friday: 06:00 AM - 02:00 PM

This role includes a fixed-shift commitment ("Anchor Shifts") requiring a six-month assignment. You may also pick up extra shifts through our Claim-A-Shift program to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, drivers, and vendors by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor and control access points, verify credentials and authorized entry, maintain visitor and driver logs, and direct individuals to appropriate areas.
• Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency services as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of the facility, parking areas, trailer yards, docks, and perimeter to identify unusual activity and potential security-related concerns.
• Document incidents, observations, and access-control activities accurately in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific reporting procedures.

Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• At least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
