Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to patients, visitors, employees, and vendors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a healthcare location.
- Monitor and control access to the facility by verifying credentials, issuing visitor badges, maintaining visitor logs, and directing individuals to appropriate areas.
- Respond to incidents, access concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, escalating matters according to site procedures.
- Monitor entrances, exits, restricted areas, and access-control systems; report irregularities, damaged equipment, and unauthorized access attempts.
- Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, entrances, parking areas, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
Minimum Requirements
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- CPR certification is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
