Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to patients, visitors, staff, and vendors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities within a healthcare location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate with staff and/or first responders as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout buildings, parking areas, entrances, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and/or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and public areas, assist with visitor direction and screening processes, and report maintenance, environmental, and security-related issues according to site procedures.
• Prepare clear, timely reports of incidents, observations, and daily activities, and support Allied Universal and site leadership with requested documentation and/or follow-up information.

Minimum Requirements

• Be at least 21 years of age.
• Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED as required by the client.
• Meet hospital vaccine requirements.
• Able to work in a hospital environment that includes a morgue.
• Able to restrain individuals in a hospital setting when required.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
