Security Officer Enhanced Access Control

About the Role

Allied Universal® offers a flexible, part-time Enhanced Security Officer position designed for individuals looking to supplement their income, gain hands-on experience, or work toward a full-time career. This role provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

• Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift, requiring a six (6) month commitment.
• Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: Pick up extra shifts through our scheduling platform to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Adjust your hours weekly—work part-time one week and full-time the next, with the option to scale back as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to store customers, associates, and visitors while carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, customer concerns, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols throughout the retail location, including sales areas, entrances, parking areas, loading zones, and perimeter areas.
• Observe and report unusual activity, potential hazards, policy violations, and maintenance concerns to appropriate store contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
• Assist with access control, visitor direction, and documentation of incidents and security-related observations in accordance with site procedures.

Requirements

• At least one year of security-related experience.
• Proof of a high school diploma or GED.
• At least 21 years of age (18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles).
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Subject to a background investigation and drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.

$17.00 / Hour
