About the role
As a Security Officer supporting a dynamic technology, media, and telecommunications location in Coppell, TX, you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, help to deter security-related incidents, and provide exceptional customer service and communication.
Responsibilities
- Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
- Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and reporting procedures.
- Conduct regular and random patrols throughout technology and telecommunications facilities, including business areas, entry points, parking areas, and perimeter locations.
- Monitor access points, visitor activity, and site conditions; report suspicious activity, hazards, and maintenance concerns to appropriate personnel.
- Maintain accurate daily activity reports, incident documentation, and access-control records in accordance with site-specific requirements.
Requirements
- Have at least 2 years of security-related experience.
- CPR and First Aid certification is preferred.
- A guard card or license is preferred.
- Ability to lift more than 20 pounds is preferred.
- Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
- Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
- Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
- As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation and drug screen in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
- Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
- A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
