How This Role Works

Fixed-Shift Commitment (“Anchor Shifts”): You will be hired for a designated site and weekly shift that serves as your reliable base schedule. This assignment requires a six (6) month commitment.
Earn More, Claim-A-Shift Program: In addition to your fixed shift, you may pick-up extra shifts through our scheduling platform, allowing you to increase earnings and gain experience across multiple sites. Work part-time hours this week and full-time the next. It’s all up to you.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to the location.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and/or critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and report observations according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including public areas, staff areas, entrances, exits, and perimeter spaces, to help to deter unwanted activity.
• Monitor access points and help to verify that visitors, staff, and/or vendors follow site entry procedures and posted rules.
• Support a welcoming environment by offering directions and assistance to patrons and staff while observing for security-related concerns and escalating issues when needed.

Minimum Requirements

• A New York State Security Guard License is required.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and/or badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
