About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a utilities location, where you will conduct routine patrols, remain visible to help discourage security-related incidents, and support a welcoming environment through strong customer service and communication.

Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and/or emergency response activities appropriate to a utility location.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting unusual activity to the appropriate personnel.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols of buildings, grounds, parking areas, and perimeter zones to help to deter unauthorized access and identify potential security-related concerns.
  • Monitor access points and verify entry authorization for staff, visitors, and vendors while following post orders and escalation procedures for restricted or sensitive areas.
  • Support daily operations at the location by communicating with site contacts, assisting with incident response, and completing required reports, logs, and other post documentation.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or GED is required by the client.
  • Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • CPR and/or First Aid certification is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
