About the role

As a Patrol Officer supporting a government location in New York, NY, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and assist visitors and staff with professionalism and clear communication. Responsibilities

  • Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Monitor entrances, exits, and public areas; verify authorized access as directed; and report suspicious activity, incidents, or policy concerns to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency and security-related procedures.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of government office spaces, public service areas, parking areas, and the surrounding perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
  • Prepare clear, accurate incident reports and maintain required daily activity logs in accordance with site procedures.

Requirements

  • A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
  • At least one year of security-related experience.
  • Proof of a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 21 years of age (18+ for unarmed roles).
  • A guard card or license is preferred.
  • Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

Pay

$18.87 per hour

  • Monday: 08:30 AM - 05:00 PM
  • Tuesday: 08:30 AM - 05:00 PM
  • Wednesday: 08:30 AM - 05:00 PM
  • Thursday: 08:30 AM - 05:00 PM
  • Friday: 08:30 AM - 05:00 PM
