Job Description

As a Security Officer Driver Patrol Digital Activity Logs in Columbus, OH, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Tech/Media/Telecom, and more. As an Unarmed Patrol Officer at a leading technology data center, you will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, and provide outstanding customer service. This driving role includes operating a vehicle in accordance with Allied Universal policy, documenting security-related activities, and communicating professionally with site personnel.

What You'll Do

  • Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, contractors, and/or vendors at a technology data center by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, access protocols, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
  • Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the data center campus, including building exteriors, perimeter areas, parking locations, entrances, and other assigned areas; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Maintain access points and support visitor, contractor, and delivery procedures in accordance with site policies, escalating access concerns or irregular activity to appropriate personnel.
  • Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established site procedures and communicating with Allied Universal leadership and/or emergency responders as needed.
  • Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security-related activities accurately and promptly, helping to deter unauthorized access and support operational continuity.

Minimum Requirements

  • Proof of a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
