Security Officer Driver for Patrol Duties

About the role

Join Allied Universal as an unarmed officer at a shelter location, where you will monitor assigned areas, conduct routine patrols, and support access activities while helping to deter security-related incidents.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to residents, guests, staff, and/or visitors by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-related protocols, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, documenting observations and reporting security-related concerns according to site guidelines.
• Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the location, including common areas, entry points, exterior grounds, and perimeter areas, helping to deter unauthorized activity and/or policy violations.
• Monitor the location for unusual behavior, maintenance issues, and/or hazards, and communicate needed information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Support a welcoming environment within a residential shelter setting by assisting with directions, answering basic questions, and addressing security-related matters with professionalism and respect.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
