Security Officer - Driver Checkpoint

About the role

As a Security Officer Driver Checkpoint in Sugar Grove, IL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Food/Beverage, and more.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, and/or employees by carrying out access control procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a food and beverage location.
• Monitor entry and exit points, verify credentials and/or visitor authorizations, and maintain accurate logs of people, vehicles, and deliveries entering or leaving the location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and/or emergency personnel as needed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify unusual activity and help to deter unauthorized access.
• Support security-related operations by following post orders, reporting hazards and/or maintenance concerns, and documenting daily activities, observations, and incidents in a clear manner.

Requirements

• A valid driver’s license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Being comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

Qualifications

• Must pass a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Must pass a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
