Security Officer Distribution Center Full Time

About the role

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer for a Full Time Patrol Inspection position in Disputanta, VA, supporting a logistics and distribution location. In this unarmed role, you will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter security-related incidents, and report observations. You will provide customer service, communicate professionally with team members and visitors, and contribute to a culture built on teamwork, integrity, and innovation.

Schedule

Full Time. Daytime shift, Tuesday 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Wednesday 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Friday 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM, Saturday 02:00 PM – 10:00 PM.

Pay

$18.76 / Hour

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities at a distribution location.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, access-control concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner; document observations and actions taken according to site procedures.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of warehouse areas, loading docks, trailer yards, parking areas, entrances, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and verify authorized entry for employees, visitors, contractors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site-specific procedures.
• Report damaged gates, lighting concerns, unsecured doors, suspicious activity, and other security-related conditions to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
