About the role

Join Allied Universal as an Unarmed Patrol Officer supporting a dynamic government transportation location in Houston, TX. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, monitor access points, and assist visitors and staff with professional communication and customer service.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to airport passengers, visitors, employees, and/or contractors while carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of assigned airport facilities, terminal areas, access points, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Monitor assigned areas for unusual conditions, unauthorized access, and/or potential hazards, and report observations according to site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with airport personnel and emergency responders as directed.
• Prepare accurate reports and maintain required activity logs, incident documentation, and communication records.

Requirements

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Qualifications

• CPR certification is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• A Guard Card or license is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.

Pay

$16.97 / hour

• Monday: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
• Tuesday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Wednesday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Friday: 02:00 PM - 10:00 PM
• Sunday: 08:00 AM - 04:00 PM
