The Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced position in Remington, IN provides reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with the flexibility to earn more by picking up additional shifts when it works for you.

Pay

$15.70 per hour

Schedule

Daytime – Thursday 12:30 PM – 11:00 PM (fixed‑shift “anchor” shift with a six‑month commitment). Employees may also pick up extra shifts through the “Earn More, Claim‑A‑Shift” program, allowing part‑time or full‑time hours as desired.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and associates by carrying out site‑specific access control procedures, policies, and, when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Monitor and control access points for a logistics and distribution location, verifying authorized entry and exit for personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers in accordance with site procedures.
• Maintain accurate visitor, contractor, and vehicle entry records, issue and collect credentials as directed, and communicate access concerns to site leadership.
• Respond to incidents, access‑related concerns, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established reporting and escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking areas, and the business perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security‑related concerns.

Requirements

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet (preferred).
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• Subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license is required for driving positions only.
